Since the company's beginning in 1956, Birdair has been committed to the technological development of structural fabric applications. Early radomes and rapid deployment command shelters led to commercial applications in bulk storage and removable sports facility covers.
      In 1957, company founder Walter Bird's own Buffalo, New York home, featuring an air-supported pool enclosure in winter, was pictured on the front page of Life magazine as a glimpse of life in the future.
    Birdair carries on that inventive spirit today

by working with designers in the construction of tensioned membrane projects of all sizes and complexity. To date, Birdair has completed over 300 major installations in over 30 countries requiring some 30 million sq. ft. of architectural membrane. Birdair structures have been erected in the most geographically diverse settings, from the Arctic Circle to Saudi Arabia; from St. Petersburg, Florida to Paris, France; from Perth, Australia to Vancouver, British Columbia.
    With over forty years experience and 300+ skilled professionals on staff around the world, Birdair offers a variety of first-rate in-house services, including design and engineering, schematics, budgeting, scheduling, logistics/sequencing assistance, as well as a full range of construction services.
